Being from the Acid House/Hardcore/Jungle era listening to Slammin Vinyl, One Nation and Awol tape packs on my Walkman and religiously recording Kool FM shows to play my mates back at school in 92/93/94 I have been supporting Skibadee and his talents for a very long time. For me Skibadee was the number one MC, his lyrics, his style his energy just ticked all the boxes for me, quickly learning and resiting his lyrics and buying tickets to raves not really for the DJ’s but to see him hype the arena in his award winning way. Skibadee was always the highlight of my night and now in my 30’s (slightly too old to be trying to catch his attention while on stage to shake his hand) I look at the new generation of D&B ravers and can see that they are as taken aback by his talent as I was in my partying hay day. Long Live Skibs!!!

SkibadeeIf music didnt exist what would you be doing for a living?
Hmmmm most probably a 9-5 within the economic sector as I have qualifications in accounts!

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Performing a track live on breakfast TV, it was Shy FX – Don’t Wanna Know.

Who is your personal favourite artist of all time?
I’d have to say Michael Jackson.

What words of wisdom do you carry with you throughout life?
Find your inner peace, be cool, remember everybody is different, do not judge, be happy and love life!

What advice would you give any up and coming MCs/Musicians?
Always be original, to be the best, you simply need to eat sleep and shit whatever you do to the best of your ability. It should be the last thing on your mind at night and the first thing on your mind during the day. If you love it enough you will sacrifice all you time for your goals.

SkibadeeWhat is the biggest mistake you have made within your career?
Probably loving my passion for Jungle Drum n Bass too much, it’s just in my blood.

What hobbies/interests do you have (not music related)?
Acting would be nice, traveling and seeing more countries too.

Nike, Addidas or Reebok?
Nike!

What do you hate about the industry?
The financial gain.

What will you be doing when your 60?
Chillin on a beach in Ghana!!!
